COMMUNITY PROGRAMS

Everyone is welcome at MAST. To feel connected to what it means to be well for you, if not relegated to a select few, but rather on offer to all. The entry point can be intimidating or not even be in your line of sight. At MAST, we are committed to shifting the tides of the industry toward offerings, expressions, and services that truly are inclusive, and continue in the pursuit of always learning how to be better in order to meet the needs of wellbeing within and without our walls.

Because in truth, the wellbeing of the collective is intrinsically and inextricably linked to the wellbeing of the individual.

MASTering the Mind

Brought to MAST by ASAP (The Alliance for Substance Abuse and Prevention), MASTering the Mind is a new and innovative program to empower teenagers through the transformative practices of meditation, breathwork, and sound.

Meditation helps to cultivate mindfulness, focus, and self-awareness, enabling teens to navigate the challenges of adolescence with clarity. By sitting in stillness and connecting with the breath, young adults can learn to observe their thoughts and emotions without judgment, cultivating a sense of inner peace.

Supplementing meditation with various breathwork techniques empowers teenagers to regulate their emotions, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being.

Additionally, incorporating sound, such as chanting or listening to soothing music, during these practices can deepen relaxation and assist in the development of concentration.

Through consistent engagement in these practices, teens can gain a greater understanding of their minds, harness their mental strength, and cultivate resilience in the face of adversity.

Recovery Dharma

Join us on Monday nights from 7:30-8:30pm in our Integration Space for Recovery Dharma. These free and anonymous sessions (registration is optional) provide a supportive and welcoming environment for individuals seeking to integrate Buddhist teachings with the process of addiction recovery. Led by experienced facilitators, the meetings offer a blend of mindfulness, meditation, and Dharma wisdom to support participants on their path to healing. Whether you are exploring new ways to cope with addiction or simply seeking a community of like-minded individuals, Recovery Dharma meetings aim to provide valuable insights and practices to guide you toward a balanced and fulfilling life.

Community Circle

Through our weekly listening circles we offer a space to connect, process, and practice in conversation. Guided and facilitated by a licensed therapist and community member, we provide this space for all equally to feel seen and heard, in community.  Here we deeply and actively listen to one another and find footing for conscious and grounding exchange. Our community circle is donation based in an effort to honor the time of the facilitator, while making the offer accessible to all.

Grounded Grace Guardian Program:

A core value of ours is to create a space where wellbeing is inclusive to all. As one of our many efforts to uphold this value, we present our Grounded Grace Guardian Program (GGGP).

GGGP is a pay it forward program, through which any individual community member who feels called can invest in the wellbeing and healing of others who currently find the barrier to access to be monetary. These collected funds go toward providing classes to essential workers and those who apply for admission to the GGGP.

If you are an individual who is deeply invested in your growth and healing, and currently find the barrier to be monetary, we invite you to apply to the GGGP. All submissions will be anonymous and funds are distributed without question and at random.

Practitioner Residency

The future of wellbeing lies in the hands of those devoted to being in service to its evolution and continued practice. So often practitioners are spread too thin and their course of study stunted due to resources. Through our residency program, we aim to provide space for new discovery, practices, and offerings in service of others and each other's wellbeing. To actualize on this we provide:

  • Housing on an island among nature in the hopes to give respite to your spirit

  • Practice space to discover new potential in your craft and offering

  • A testing ground among other practitioners and students to offer your unique modality

  • From this time and space to emerge with new modalities and approaches to wellbeing that are both unique to you, and shifting paradigms in the industry and your course of study
